Reflections on the journey from communications to design
I was recently featured by Shillington Education, sharing what life and work have looked like two years after graduating from their graphic design program.
In the interview, I talked about how my path into design wasn’t linear. After studying Corporate Communications and working in marketing, I realized I was most energized by the visual side of storytelling, like crafting brands, designing layouts, and finding creative ways to connect with people.
Since then, I’ve built a freelance design practice that blends branding, web, and art direction for clients across Canada and beyond. My focus remains the same: designing with intention, clarity, and a sense of human warmth.
